DANE ELKINS

Dane Elkins, a 21-year-old UC Santa Cruz engineering student and accomplished racquetball champion, has been missing since December 21, 2020. His car was found abandoned near Interstate 5 and Templin Highway in Castaic, California, with a flat tire; his wallet and cell phone were inside, but Dane was nowhere to be found. In the months following his disappearance, there have been reported sightings of Dane in various California locations, including Mojave and Bakersfield. Witnesses described interactions with a man matching his description who appeared to be traveling on foot and accepted food.Recent developments include the release of a video showing Dane discussing concerns about CIA recruitment, which his family believes indicates paranoia before his disappearance. Additionally, a Facebook group titled “Searching for Dane Elkins” has been established to coordinate search efforts and share updates.
